my 91 740 glt shifts hard and shifts to 3rd at 4000 rpm, is there anything I can do to change that, and adjustment or sumthing...the whole ignition system is new from spark plugs to coil, new oil and filter, new tranny filter, I might need to change the fuel filter, the overdrive relay is working but the shifter button I dont think works, theres not effect when I press it...there is an adjustment under the hood with the trottle/kickdown cable...dont know what the little rod with the sockets is called but I did a slight adjustment on it...can I get sum help on this...I effin love this car...we've been through alot in the past 5 months....I want it to run right...

 

I would start by checking the mounts, motor and transmission.

 

the mounts r fine, it defintly has to do with tuning...any ideas?

 

How many miles on car? What did the tranny fluid look and smell like?
