P0410 Code
I am getting a P0410 code on my 97 960. I checked the relays, fuses and cleaned where it goes into the block. I am getting a little suction from the pump intake when it comes on. I sprayed MAF cleaner into the ?egr valve and down the tube that goes back to the block. How can I check the egr valve to see if it is bad. I reset the code and it took about 400 miles to come back on the first time and 200 the second. Also, how can I check the air pump solenoid?
I think I will check in the morning. My thinking is this: if there is suction coming from the solenoid, the egr valve is bad, if not it's the solenoid. Does this sound right? I already checked the suction going into the solenoid, and it is fine.
I sprayed PB Blaster into the EGR last night. When I started it up this morning the suction from the air pump was like a shop vac! Before I think I was only feeling the suction from the vacuum line. I will scan it for the next week and see if it throws the code again, but I think that may have done it![sm=groupwave.gif]
I found the EGR on this car and cleaned out the flame trap as well. The code has not come back in a week. Hurrah!!!
