Rack and Pinion play on drivers side...

Default Rack and Pinion play on drivers side...

my drivers side tierod has sum play, I got under it and checked it and the play is coming from inside the Rack and Pinion, do I have to replace the R n P, or is the an adjustment... a friend told me that the inner tirod comes out and that I wouldnt have to change the whole R n P... any help please... it wasnt for this forum I would of torched this car along time ago.. lol...thanx u guys...

If ti's coming from inside the boot, thats not the rack - thats your inner tie-rod. Replace the inner & outer tierod as a pair.

not to hijack, but I have a leak coming from my inner tie rod. Is there a seal that can be replaced, or does the whole rack have to be replaced?

Depends on how savvy you are. If you can disassemble the rack, then yes, you can replace the seal.
