Default Radiator Replacing

I know that there have been a few posts about this but none seem to go into the detailof actually how to replace it. Is it very complicated or prety much straight forward I just got my car back from the mechanic for a transmission flush and really do not have the extra money to pay for the labor. It does not look all that complicated but I am sure there a some little things that I would be unaware of as I have never done this before. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Tech you are right as usual it does look a little overwhelming for a first timer but it does upon closer inspection look easier than I had origionally thought. To make sure, this is the processIwas thinking by looking, drain the fluid (of course)then remove the fan which looks like it will come off with the removal of the allen bolts and put it to the side. Then disconnect the trans cooler lines at the radiator followed by the two rubber hoses going in to the engine (which I plan to replace) and remove the two plastic fasteners on top of the radiator and as far as I can see I will be able to slide the radiator up and out.And repeat in reverse. It there is anything else please let me know I still have to wait for the parts so it will be a few days before I actually attempt. Also does it have to be a OEM or will one of the higher quality replacements do?

Aftermarket works pretty good.
You forgot to mention but I assume you have a late model 940 or a 960.

You are correct above.
But they aren't allens unless someone replaced them. They should be torxes 25 screws.
Also there to 2 other torxes 25 screws that hold the radiatorto a plastic guide between the radiator and the condenser. alot of times it is broke as well.
Also make sure you replace the thermostat.
Alot of times they will break and cause the radiator tank to split.

Aside from the old drain plug breaking as soon as I touched it everything seems to be prety easy. I now need to remove the transmission lines and am finding them extreamly reluctant and I do not want to break or twist them am I going in the wrong direction or somthing (lefty loosy righty tighty right lol) and will a great deal of fliud come out of the bottom line?

Thats right sometimes they can be stubborn.
You will loose some fluid but not a bucket load.

I did get the transmission linesoffand changed the radiator without much of a problem. I can not express how satisfying it was especially after saving at least $400 so thank you very much for your expertise Tech. The most difficult part was attaching the new lower radiator hose to the radiator, why is there that metal bracket attached to the frame. I could not get the hose between it and the radiator, it does not seem to serve any function aside from making me angry while doing one of (what I thought)easier parts of the job. Anyway so far no leaks and the car seems to be running much cooler.

Glad all is good.
Not sure why they placed the bracket there. I agree useless.
