radiator and tranny fluid mix
installed a brand new radiator in a non turbo volvo 960 wagon and the tranny fluid and anti freeze mixed immediately..........can't mix up any connections...want could it be?
Hello, what was the reason for the new radiator?Did you have fluid mixing before and replaced radiator for that reason? If so, did you remember to flush out old stuff first?
Or it's possible you got a faulty new radiator and need to exchange especially if that was not why you replaced in the first place.

I heard that happened to a guy a few months ago. Where did you get the radiator? What brand was it? DO NOT START THE CAR AGAIN. Take it and get the tranny flushed immediately. If you don't, it will likely destroy the tranny like it did the other guy I know. His user name was Gabby something.
I would also contact the company that sold it to you and the manufacturer ASAP. Try to get them to pay for your troubles.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, hope you can get radiator vendor to pay for your additional repairs. But I agree with the other post,to flush out your transmission before more damage occurs.
Those radiator break easy on the trans connector lines if you tighten them to much it will break inside the radiator and mix the coolant with the tranny fluid that cost me 1600 for a new tranny. So flush the tranny and dont even turn the car on.
