Rear shocks anybody??

Rear shocks anybody??
So, I'm shopping for rear shocks, and it seems that '95-up rear shocks are significantly more expensive than pre-95 rear shocks. Anybody know for certain if ONLY '95-'97 rear shocks can be used? Monroe's are $55 each from what I can find. Not too concerned with spending a bunch of money on shocks, if I were I'd buy Bilsteins. If anybody has any compatibility info, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
BTW - put almost 600 miles on the car so far since the HG job, and so far so good Currently in the garage on jackstands with the front end torn down awaiting all new bushings up front.

Glad to hear that your HG job went well. I think that's a win or loose deal. If you make it 50 miles, you'll make it 50,000.
As for the shocks, I would not cut corners. Those cars ride so good I wouldn't create a weak link with cheap shocks. Especially if you are going to save $$$ by putting them on yourself. I believe FCP & iPD both sell different shocks depending on the type of ride you prefer. I say ride over price.

I wanted to purchase KYB's, but unfortunately they aren't available for '95-up models. Not sure how different they are from pre-'95's, but.....
Looks like OEM Sach's-Boge is where it's at then.
