Paid to have rear camera added to 2013 S60, has anybody else done this?
Hello everybody! First post here so please be nice
My wife and I recently purchased a new S60 T5 FWD Premier. Because of the lack of visibility through the back we paid an extra $1200 to have a rear camera added.
I took the car in to the service shop early yesterday to get the rear cam installed and it was supposed to be done later in the day and they would call when it was time to pick it up. I never got a call. I called this morning and they said they were almost done but it wouldn't be ready until tonight.
We love this car and I am a bit of a worrier by nature. And I just read some very bad reviews for this service center. Is adding a camera simple? Can they screw it up? I don't think these guys do this too often and I can't stop thinking that they are going to drill a bunch of holes in the back of my car or put it on in the wrong spot.
They are already taking way longer than they first said, they didn't call me at all to update me on what was going on, and they gave me a loaner car with a check engine light on(seems very ironic that a service center can't keep their own cars running correctly).
Like I said, I am a worrier by nature. Hopefully they are just slow and everything is fine. I'm guessing if it works well and looks good I'll be happy. If not, I don't know what I'll do...
