Please help. My 1997 960 starts and runs fine. BUT pretty regularly when started, the shifter will stay locked in park. The only way to put it in drive is to push the shiftlock thing in and then you can put it in drive. When this happens, the lights don't work, nor do the windows, nor do the blinkers. Any clue on how this is happening and what I should look for or do?

This doesn't happen all the time.
