Default Shorted wire in security system '96 960?

I have a 96 960 and after I accidentally set the alarm off it has had the door open/key left in ignition warning tone goin off constantly. I checked the fuse panel and the #13 fuse was blown which controls the security/alarm system as well as all interior lamps. When replacing the 10a fuse it immediately blew so I have been chasing down my shorted wire. I have checked both front door switches as well as the overhead dome light and I was wondering if anyone knows of the "remote control central locking and car alarm control module" which is located behind the dash left of the steering column tends to short internally or go bad because I can't trace down the short and I was seein if anyone has ever had a similar problem. Thanks in advance for any thoughts
