My 96 960 developed an interesting problem the other day. The car starts, but the windows dont work and the gear shift is locked in park. When I turn the car off - and back on - the problem sometimes goes away. the turn signals are also affected. Today, while driving, the problem re-occured - so things seem to be getting worse. Anyone out there have any hints for what's wrong - and instructions for fixing it?

 

I have a 1997 960 wagon, and I had the same problems as you describe.

I just finiashed replacing the ignition switch and so far, all is well. Thanks so much for the reply....
