Default thinking its time for a fuel pump

hi everyone, so here is some back ground. about 5 months ago i did a ton of work on the engine, i replaced many of the seals, plugs, connectors, all new hoses and plugs, etc etc etc. she drives great....well except for lack of power under load. flat is no issues, time to go up a hill or merge and its not so good. thinking my fuel pump is on its way out....had a few no start mornings as well. like i said everything in the engine bay has been updated and she was driving great till about a week ago. now lack of power and no so great mpg.... what you think?

My 98 has a fuel pressure test fitting on the end of the fuel rail by the firewall so maybe you can hook up a gauge and watch the pressure under load.

The fitting is the same as Ford uses and the same as a tire valve stem. My harbor freight pressure gauge fits on it. The hose is not long enough to use it while driving though.
