Unhappy Troubleshooting A/C 97 960

So i got my car back from the mechanic i got a rebuild transmission car running awesome now.
Main Issue right now its weather in florida its like being in a oven. My A/c doesnt work stop working: at first the symptoms where this. A/c suddenly on highway stops working turned off and after 30 min or so it start again the compressor and blowing cold other is that when u accelerate the car it stopped blowing from the main vents and i think when u do that it blows on ur feet or the veents for the front windshield.

right now the car is not blowing any type of air i thought it was the blower but then i was feeling that air was coming only from the feet vent at 5 speed and very poorly on the main vents i think is only blowing from the feet, the compressor is engaging i can hear it it stays on the tube bellow the dryer gets cold but the dryer doesnt get cold and i think it have to, I think the dryer is the alluminum tank on the left side of the engine near the strut, am i right?.

so any tips of what should i be looking how should i start any help will be deeply appreciate it.

Pictures of the one-way vacuum valves from a 1997 965: One was shot and the vacuum lines at the Tee were rotten.

Did that help you with the A/C problem? If not keep looking for vac leaks or bad vac lines.

Chuck101:

To be honest, I am not sure about the vacuum lines/check valve. I am sure it did not hurt to get them squared away.

I ended up replacing the CCU and finding the sensor in the dome light completely occluded with lint. There is a vacuum line that draws cabin air over a thermistor. This information is returned to the CCU, for feedback.

It works now. Regardless, I would pull the dome light assy. out and check the thermistor for lint. I took some photos during the replacement. I have not done much with them as for labeling and annotation. They can be found here.

Maybe this will help.

Good luck

I found a disconnected vacuum line near the throttle. Now is getting air in the main vents, but when u accelerate it stopa blowing from the main vents. I feel at all.times is slllightly blowing some air from the feet and it shouldnt
