Uh-oh! Sludgy oil!
Today my starter on my 89 760 Turbo died.

But that's not the issue...
While I was pokin around under the hood, I took a peek at my dipstick.. and found it covered with creamy white goo! Ew! It was fine last time I checked a few weeks ago.
I've done some googling, and half the search results say it's a normal effect of condensation. Here in the Pacific NW, we've had weeks of torrential rain and/or bitter freezing cold. I've had serious condensation issues inside the car and out.
Then the other half say it's not normal and my head gasket is effed.
So what's the deal? Is it normal or ain't it? ??
Thoughts?
If it looks really milky almost like choclate milk then most likely the headgasket is blown.
Does all the oil on the stick look like that?
If you clean it off then check again is it clean?
Does the car run hot?
