Default Volvo Electrical Diagrams

Just a bit different than what I'm used to. Having fun trying to figure them out!

Can anyone explain how to read this?

You can see there that there are two different power supplies and so each one has accountability in the chart. The reason for having two power supplies is just so you can fuse them differently. At another switch they could be battery power vs. ignition switch power, but here of course that doesn't apply, it's all battery power here.

Unless I totally misunderstand, the lines on the chart are superfluous. I guess they had an argument over that at the factory.

Default Thanks for the info

That makes sense, but what about #5? And is there one diagram that tells where each of the pins go? As in pin 15I goes to the overload relay, and 15A goes to the bulb failure sensor. But I had to go to different pages to find that out. It would be handy if there were one page showing all the destinations.

Thanks for the image. Very Helpful.
Page 7 is missing from the PDF I downloaded. Along with quite a few pages out of order. I've downloaded from a few places, but none have been complete. I'm hesitant to pay for a download. Afraid I'll get one of the bad copies. Do you know of a safe place to get a full manual?

Default Electrical Manual

The PDF manual attached above has the same contents as the one I purchase as a book from Volvo in 1997. I've found it very useful over the years.
