What spark plug do you recommend?
The manual says Bosch FR 6 DC which at $2.29 I imagine is a standard tip plug. With all the new types available, what do you guys use/recommend? I've got a '96 960 wagon which is the wife's commuter car. It threw out a PO305 code which has not reappeared since being cleared. Car runs great, but I know it has 70K miles since last plug change.
Volvo OEM, about $ 25 for a 6-pack from FCP, EEuro, etc. I am sure others (myself included) have tried others successfully, but for some strange reason, experts and mechanics on these Forums don't argue much that Volvo plug is best. And no, it is not a standard copper plug.
OEM plugs. I found some NKG's in there when I changed the plugs last (when I had a 960). Over 70k on a 30k plug. LOL, that's how we roll. I probably had about 50 on the plugs I replaced.
New spark plugs:
I installed new Bosch triple tip platinum in the S90 last year. These are a bit pricey, but the performance is great and I did get better mileage. When one changes plugs every 60K or so, it's a good deal.
