Default 18 inch rims--Best tire size

I was wondering if we have a choice on tire size with 18 inch rims on our 850's? My car is lowered with Eibach springs and Bilstein HD's.

Rub city!!! I'm not sure because I don't care for low profile tires but you will likely need some 215/40-18's if they make them.

Yeah, I am running 225/45/17 on my car and I had to remove the rear fender liners because of the rubbing, and I'm at stock ride height. Id plan on renting a fender roller to make that fit.

oh, and the ride quality on a 215/40/18 (which, yes, they do make) is gonna SUUUUUUUUUCK. Just sayin'...

Do you know if we could put a 215/45/17 inch tire or do you think that may rub. I am going to be getting some new rims and not sure if I want to do another 18 or go back to a 17. I think when I bought my car he had 215/45/17 on the stock rims.

The 215/45/17 do rub a little at lock. Heck, if things are not perfect on my 205/45/17's they rub a little. However some people swear on the 215's being a lot more comfortable. If I had to drive my 17's all the time year round I think I would go crazy. I would get a set of 16" wheels with tires and swap them out no less than 8 months out of the year.

I like a more comfortable ride. The R with low profile tires are to hard for me with the tight suspension and hard tire arrangement. I'd rather have the softer ride so if I ever have to turn this car into a full time daily driver, I think I would install some softer struts/shocks and install 16" wheels. These cars are very comfortable outside of the R arrangement.

I rolled all four fenders just in case they might want to rub. And I currently don't rub. I'm running Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 8" x 17" wheels with staggered sized tires. I'm running 225/45ZR17 front with 5mm spacers. And 245/40ZR17 rear with 17mm spacers. I drive the car hard with no rub.
