Thanks for the help on the stereo issue. I ended up disconnecting the wires, and finding out that the blue wire was for power antenna, but connecting it to the blue wire coming from the back of the deck was not powering it?...I spliced the power antenna in with the red wire and it works just fine
Thanks!....
I do have another question that's unrelated..
My cooling fan turned on by itself since we got the car, and as we're taking a trip to california next week, I'm trying to wire it directly to a switch in the dash....I've got 12 guage wire running throughout, which looks to be the same as the original wiring for the fan, and going to put a 30A fuse on as well.....My main question is, where in the world is a good place to get the wiring through the firewall?... I really don't want to put it through next to the steering shaft.....Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!!

I distantly remember that someone has done it through one hole on the driver's side, but cannot remember the exact location.
In case if you could not find one, you could drill a hole just enough to guide the wire and plug the hole with some mild rubber adhesive after running the wire to keep water out.

Thanks for the info JPN
I did take hard look around to where I could possibly fit the wires through, and couldn't really find a place. I ended up drilling a hole through the drivers side, being very careful not to puncture anything along the way lol....but it seems to have worked really well. I did put some rubber sealant around it as you had recommended. Wish my luck on my trip down to California starting friday
Thanks for all the help guys!!!
