I have a switch on my battery to pull up and down when I need to drive. For some reason today, twice it hasn't started initially and the alarm has gone off after I moved the lever down and I tried to turn it on. This seemed to be solved by making the sure the door stayed open and trying to start it with the door open. That made the car start. Any idea as to why this is happening and what I can do to solve this issue?

I should mention that I started my car twice today and it started without issue and the alarm didn't go off, so I'm confused why it did that twice and didn't do it twice. Any ideas?
