This is the fix that worked for me!!!! ABS light with codes 1-4-1 and 1-4-2.
I added one more step to the link above and that was to add gasket sealer to the o-ring when reinserted to the master cylinder. Took about 60 minutes from start to finish. I uses an exact o knife and a heavy bladed box cutter to rim the RTV out. Inserted the blades about 3/8" deep with a very slight twist. Once seal was all broken I used pliers to pull the unit apart. The circuit board remained inside the sleeve as described. I let the RTV cure overnight. Cleared all codes and the ABS light tests on start and goes out as designed. Kudos to Andries for figuring this one out!!!!

For those looking to fit it yourself, this fix is relatively clean and easy to perform. The key is to loosen the old RTV all the way around to a depth of 3/8". When you pull the insert out do not twist but pull straight out with pliers. If the insert does not move then go back to loosening the old RTV. I was able to remove the insert with zero damage to the insert.
