Just purchase this 1995 850 for my Grandson first year in college. Problem with interior/dash board/radio/screen lites not working. Initially check for 12 vt voltgage at interior switch direct above the exterior from/rear lite switch on the dash board.

Can some point me in the correct sequence on identifying the relay or fuses to check for this problem. I conducted a continuity test on all of the interior lite bulbs and they check out OK.

Any suggestions would help?

 

Open the hood you'll see a black box by the driverside wiper blade that's where the fuses are it will say fuses on the lid. Open the lid on the bottom of the lid it will tell which fuses do what check all your fuses should just be the fuse for the lights....

 

Might be also the switch to turn on the headlights sometimes they go bad, but definetely check for fuses first.

 

I have the same type of car and it had the same problem. The fuse and ignition switch were good. The panel dimmer switch had gone bad. A new switch was too pricey so I took a short wire and jumped a couple of the connections in the plug... the dash lights then came on.

 

I was going to say that the dimmer switch is most likely the culprit but XEVO beat me to it.
