1995 Vovlo 850 Turbo Wont stay running.
In a strange turn of events i decided today was do or die for the 850. Got it all bolted back together, started it and quickly hauled *** out of the drive way. It died in like 8 seconds. Started it again and put my foot to the floor. It hauled *** until i had to take my foot off the gas 200 meters later. It died again. Started it and started driving down a open quiet stretch of road with my foot to the floor for like 5 blocks drove great lifted my foot because i was really speeding. It died. started it back up and did the same thing back towards the house and lifted to turn and it STAYED RUNNING! idled fine. Drove fantastic. Took it to the car wash left it running and washed it and then drove it back home. Then decided to just keep driving. Parked it in the drive way and will try it again tomorrow. Had it running and driving for like 2 hours with no problems. No Codes. Any Ideas??????
Must have broken loose something that was clogging something else.
Maybe you had the battery disco'd long enough for the adaptives to relearn, and they just kicked into action? Either way, I love it when this is the fix!

I know this is an old thread but... have 95 850 turbo... same problem - starts, runs for about 15 seconds and dies. your thread follows along what I've been dealing with except accelerating didn't fix. Fuel pressure good, hoses all look good, relays look good, only thing is that it will keep running if i hold keep the ignition switch just short of running the starter motor. (we switched out the switch)
Help!
Thank you.

Dear John, you should try the stuff that has already been suggested in this thread but you should re-post separately. By all means describe what you've tried so we're not covering the same ground again.
Did you use a new switch or a used one ?? If moving the key will keep it running you pretty much have to have two bad switches.
Posting three pages in on a year old thread at best gets the attention of only those people who have posted replies and then only if they are still subscribed.
I don't say this because you're jacking the thread but because if you post your question with what you've already tried as a number 1 post everyone looking at the 850 forum has a chance to see your problem and possibly offer the right answer to you. It just increases your chances of getting help.
