1996 850 Non-Turbo
Can someone help?
My car has about 235,000 miles, although my odometer broke at 202,000, and recently I've noticed that when firing up the car, there is hissing sound (sounds like it might be the starter) that only happens when the car fires up. The sound is part of the firing up sound when you first turn the ignition switch.
It almost sounds like when you inadvertently try to turn your ignition on while your car is already fired up.... that is as best as I can describe it.
I think she is due for spark plugs and wires but I don't believe that is the problem because she fires up really nicely.
Any help would be appreciated. thanks.
