You sir, are correct (mostly because it says GLT right on the back of the car). Obviously an NA, which means Not As much fun as a turbo.

For a grand though, yeah, it seems like a pretty good deal, it has really low miles too. Just run it, make sure it runs smooth, see if there's any codes you can pull, look for oil leaks, etc etc.

OK, no offense to you, but I think it's about time to create a thread about first things first to do to 850's. That question is asked countless times a week.

None the less, you want a full tune up, pcv system, basically a full stage 0.

I'm from the old school of DON'T FIX WHAT AINT BROKE. Fix the door, put some gas in the car and drive it around. If you find something broken, fix it.

The car may have been well maintained before someone smashed the side in. You don't buy a car for $1,000 then drop $3,000 into it. You could save yourself a lot of time and $$$ by just buying a $4,000 car from someone that has a nice car to sell.

If you do not see a timing belt sticker on the motor, have it replaced. Change the oil ASAP. Check the air filter. Go from there. I have 3 Volvos that run great. None of which have had a tune up from me.
