1997 850 T-5 vacuum hose routing
I've been replacing vacuum hoses, and have one that I don't know where it connects.
The connection is from a nipple near the PTC valve on the the airbox to turbo snorkel. I don't know where the other end is supposed to go.
It is the vacuum hose labeled 4 in the photo below.
I've seen diagrams that show this hooking into a T-connector from the EVAP purge valve to the intake manifold, but my car does not have a T-connector there.
I've got all of the other vacuum lines attached where (I think) they ought to go. There's just no place that I can find that should be connected but isn't.
The hood on this car has been replaced, so there's no under-the-hood diagram to reference.
Any help would be appreciated.

I think the purge on these cars splits at a tee and you should have two check valves. One check valve goes to #4. There's no vacuum there, of course, but it might suck in a little bit. Normally the purge flow goes into the intake manifold through the other check valve. I drive a 98, and it's that way, but I had a 97, and I think that's how it is supposed to be.
Since there's no vacuum at that point, it's pretty hard to imagine what other purpose that connection at #4 could possibly have. Where else on the car would you be satisfied to do a really poor job of collecting air? Or where would you need a source of filtered air to donate to something?
PS. I think you can block that off if you want to and it wouldn't hurt anything.
