Default 1997 850 Wagon EVAP Controller

Where is the Main EVAP Controller located on a 1997 Volvo 850 Wagon? Manual said behind Drivers side wheel well but I can not locate it. Any ideas?

It is actually the EVAP "Shut Off Valve" I am trying to locate (Part # 9135805) Any ideas where I can find that on a 1997 850 Wagon?

This is the EVAP Purge Valve. Find first the EVAP Canister (behind / below of the left headlight). There is a line that goes from the Canister to the Intake. The Purge Valve is in the middle of this line. The valve has a 2-wire connector.

Thanks Henry, I think I located that already, but I still can't locate 1 part I need to replace. I found the #9135444 "Purge Valve" and replaced it. That was located right where you described. I still can not find the #9135805 "Shut off Valve". Should that be in the same area? I had heard it could be in the back near the fuel tank on some models, is that true?

Yes, you are right. You have the numbers correct, the aftermarket source I used in my earlier post is wrong.

The shut-off Valve is also called "Rollover valve". It is designed to shut off the fuel flowing from the tank, in case of an accident (rollover). IIRC it shuts off the flow when turned 45 degrees.

There is a 1000 mm (= 100 cm = 1 m = 3 feet) hose that connects the canister with the Rollover Valve (according to the parts diagram http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/sh...ssembly=240141
