Find one with about 100k fewer miles for the same price - that would be a good deal. While these cars do last a long time, they don't last forever. I paid $600 for one with 210k on it. It was well-maintained & in good shape, needing only a rear suspension part. Be patient and keep looking. There are lots of 850s and 70 series Volvos available.

I have also came to the opinion that a 96,97,98,99 850/70, front wheel drive, non turbo is the way to go. I think in 2000 they started the trottle by wire thing, the turbos can create issues and so can the AWD........these are just my opinions.........i would like anyones feedback
1999 is drive by wire. That first 850 up there is overpriced. 94.5/95 are pretty much the exact same thing as 96/97. Only difference is EGR vs SAS, and that's not consistent either. So don't rule out 94/95s.
