Default 1st post. coolant leak question

1995 850 Non-Turbo Manual

I created an account to be able to post a question about some coolant leaking from the resevior area and coming out around the passenger side wheel area and after reading through a couple of the other posts I think I have an idea of what direction to head. Great stuff here. There is lots I want to get to eventually but first things first, taking care of this leak.

So, I am starting the car and checking hoses and the resevior itself first and then the heater core?

Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like you're on the right path. If it helps, IPD has a webpage that indicates parts and where they go:
http://www.ipdusa.com/Volvo-850/Engi...-153-174-3313/

It's very helpful!

Hose 'C' in the diagram is a good place to start. The reservoir has a tendency to crack at the base where this hose attaches. Look for hairline cracks.
