I have a 96 850 non turbo with an automatic transmission. Transmission does not shift into gear. Code reader comes up with PO500 and PO733. I am told PO500 is vehicle speed sensor/ speedometer signal missing. PO 733 is incorrect gear ratio information. Any ideas on how to proceed appreciated.

 

The speed signal comes from the ABS computer. Is your ABS light on too, because that would explain that code. As for the other could, that could be a PNP switch issue.
