Default 850 Turbo Oxygen Sensors

Does anyone have the Bosch part numbers for the generic Bosch 4 wire Oxygen sensors for a 1995 850 Turbo (both front and rear O2 sensors)?

I received a check engine light and fault code 2-3-2 "long term fuel mixture too lean or rich at idle". At first I thought the problem was caused by a defective mass airflow sensor, but I changed it and I still get the same fault code.

So my next best guess is Oxygen sensors. I have the original O2 sensors in the car with 148K miles on the car. I believe most people say they usually only last 100K miles.

I have read that I should change both O2 sensors at the same time, so I plan on doing that. In an attempt to save some money, I want to use the generic Bosch 4 wire O2 sensors instead of the 'direct plug in' OEM parts. But I have no idea how to figure out which specific Bosch parts to purchase.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Make sure you have no vaccum leaks before just replacing the sensors.

You can get a new set of vacuum hoses for about 50 bucks + S&H at StylinMotors. Maybe you should try that before changing the sensors.

And I personally would go with direct fit OEM rather than universal type. I remotely remember someone's having a bad luck with the universal device.

I did my PCV system a few weeks ago and replaced a few of the vacuum elbows that were showing some age. I'll double check everything to make sure nothing has become disconnected.

I'll probably do the vacuum hoses first.... then the direct fit OEM O2 sensors if needed.

I'll report back in a week or two after I complete the maintenance.

Thanks for all the suggestions! You guys are very helpful...

I don't understand why the OEM ones are so expensive compared to the universal ones. Are there any places to buy the OEMs that don't cost hundreds of $$$$$?

I too, don't know why they are so expensive; they are nothing but zirconium tip with some electrical wires.

If http://www.fcpgroton.com/volvo850oxygensensors.htmsounds too high, may be eBay could do?

www.rockauto.com

I also have a 5% valid coupon. Will have direct replacement OEM as well as have the correct universal.

Thanks for the link! The cost for the direct fit Bosch is not much higher than the universal. I'll go for the direct fit... A 5% off coupon would save me around $12 which would be great! Is it an online coupon?

Thanks!

Here's how to use it:

* Enter your code in the "How did you hear about us" line of the shopping cart.
* If you are using our traditional HTML catalog, please click the "Set" button to the right of the field.
* Your discount will automatically appear, subtracted from your order total.
**NOTE: We sometimes get calls from people who put the word "discount" in front of their code and do not get the discount. Please enter ONLY the discount code, no other words or numbers.**

=)
Rockauto is usually quite competitive with parts, has some rare parts for cars, and I have sent cores back to them and received even MORE then what they stated the core refund was worth. =)
