Hi everyone, I'm an enthusiast and mechanic by necessity. I've had plenty of euro cars mostly 80's stuff and I never grow tired of how they run. It's when they don't run that I grow tired.

The latest is an 855 GLT with about 148k, drips more than it burns(10-30 synthetic), ran great till last week when out of nowhere (seemingly) on a short trip to the store it started puffing white. I did a compression test just to be sure and came up with very close numbers, none below 145 nor above 165, wet test increased numbers by 10 max.

Pulled off the turbo hoses and they were oil soaked, I'm getting a drip under the intercooler on the passenger side. So I pulled the cool side of the compressor and it turns fine, virtually no play etc.

Here are my questions:

Is it actually the exhaust side that failed? How can I be certain?

I was under the impression that I had a 15g wheel but it is clearly labeled 13g. Shall I go 16t?

Besides the banjo bolt washers, pcv, vacuum hoses and that damned hose that I cracked that goes from the lower part of the "intake to turbo" thing then runs around the block and under the intake manifold; what should I replace?

ps, anyone know what that hose is called so I can source it.

As always I imagine I have left out some critical bits of info, let me know.

After doing some research on the various volvo forums I chose this because you guys seem organized and active. I am on r3vlimited for my e-30, bimmer guys sure can be elitists...
