850 Turbo won't start, and the engine fan has its period!
Having a problem with a 97 850 low pressure turbo (175hp).
I'm currently running on the ECU from an 94 (obd1) 2.0 T5 (210hp) having no issues at all. It also runs fine with the original ECU, and with an ECU from an 95 (obd1) 2.3 litre T5 (225hp).
I also have an T5-R ECU from a 95 (obd2) T5-R. The ECU is chipped. My problem is that when I'm turning the key with this ECU the cooling fan in the engine bay starts blowing, even though the engine is cold. The engine turns, but it wont start. I guess that those two faults comes from the same cause, the ECU. Anyone having experience with this? I've also changed the immobilizer (?).
I appreciate all help I could get! I'm starting to hate my car. I have all the parts I need for a great set up, but it wont start.

Hey! Figured it out. Was going to try one original 2.3lite T5 chip instead of the trim-chip. Found out when I opened the ECU that 4 or 5 of the solder points had melted. I hope it was because of bad connection in the first place, going to get it soldered again and try it once more. If it doesn't work I'll just get another chip which fits the 4.3 system!
