Question 850R clutch dilemma

Hey guys, I'm doing a manual swap for my car this summer and so last week I purchased a clutch kit from Tasca and what they gave me is the Sachs clutch, what I'm confused about is that I keep seeing clutches that are wider than the Sachs clutch online. I'm planning to make my car quicker in the future (tune, 16t, downpipe etc.. nothing too crazy) Is it better for me to get the wider clutch or should I just stick with the Sachs clutch? thanks

(Sachs clutch on the right)

What Pressure plate you going to use ?

I have built my own Clutch's for the C30 and the biggest problem's I see you having in the future with your increased HP trip is the pressure plate -

You need to CLAMP the clutch in order to put down that power -

You going to Drag it ?

If you have an option I'd go with the friction disc with the wider surface IF it can be used on your flywheel and pressure plate. Like brakes the friction material needs to be in contact with both those surfaces to be useful.

I found out that the wider clutch is the Sachs K70212-01, I found a kit online and bought it for a surprisingly good price. No I'm not planning to drag it I just want that reassurance feeling when I'm feeling playful with the car

Very true, I bought the kit so I don't think I have to worry about the pressure plate and I've looked around online and so far I haven't read any complaints about it, I believe boxpin is running the same clutch.

it turns out that I made a grave mistake of returning the clutch I got from Tasca "850R clutch" and buying the Sachs 70212 "T5-R clutch" . Even though the T5-R clutch is wider it's weaker than the 850R clutch. Lesson learned. Now I have to process everything over again and lose money while doing so.
