took the 850 into the shop for a broken right rear trailing arm end link bushing and was told the mounting point to the subframe for the end link is damaged and will need welding to repair (nothing to hold the bolt?). I have a replacement for the end link (#65431284) and a mounting bracket (#3516122) but was told there still needs some fabrication/welding. Any one every come across this? Will be retrieving the car later and will post some pics then. Off to a welder tomorrow I guess.

 

wound up taking the car into a body shop for the welding. they fitted some new metal and welded in the new bolt. New end link bolted in cleanly and the car drives true - but it took about 6 hours of shop time... They also reinforced the other side - as I think the worn end link accelerated the rusting. Something worth inspecting on other "northern" 850s.
