Default 854 GLT throttle problem...

Yay my first need help post on here.
idk why im happy,

anyways,

So today I was driving like usual, and all of a sudden my gas pedal got really loose... like I could push it to the floor and I was doing only 3k rpm...

obviously this isnt normal because flooring any car will spike the rpm's and make the car go faster... not so much in this case.

I guess the spring in my pedal is going bad or something? because driving around a minute ago it was fine, like it had some force behind it.

any idea where I should begin my search?

Also since it has to do with the throttle area...
how do I adjust my tps?

I heard its supposed to click when at wot... but I also read something about there being electricity going to it??? so does the car have to be on?
and if so, does it need to be ON or just in accessory mode?
and I unscrew it and rotate it to adjust.

am I correct in adjusting the tps? ive been needing to for some time now but never did...

thanks guys.

First thing I'd check is the throttle cable and Throttle body to make sure there working properly. Beyond that, I'd post the same thing as you. Sorry I can't be of more help.

See if the cable is broke where it attaches to the body under the hood.
The TPS on the 850's are not adjustable.
They do not need to click at WOT

Tech, I will check from pedal to tb today when I get home from work, but if it was broke wouldnt it be doing it all the time?

hopefully it doesnt do it on my way into work but I will post an update if it does.

dang had a few people tell me to adjust the tps after I did the throttle plate switch and a few other mods, and saw a few write ups using an 850 so was hoping it would work.

You would have to open the holes in the TPS if you wanted to try to adjust it.

If the throttle cable is broke it will not do that all the time. But if it is broke it will also feel a little funny. It will feel like there is little pressure in the beginning then get harder as you go.
