'93 850 n/a oil in air intake :\
Haven't been around in a while, car has been running FANTASTIC up 'till about 2 months ago. I started to notice that it would run rough when the engine is cold, at idle, in drive. If I put it in neutral all would be fine but that only lasted a week or so. I got a weekend to "play" and tore into a tune up and decided to pull the air intake off to give it a through cleaning. I had nothing else to do that afternoon Well, I pulled it and noticed a bit of engine oil pooled up at the bottom of the air intake hose and coating the inside of the throttle body. I gave it all a good cleaning and BAM, engine ran like a dream! That is, for a month... Now I pull the intake hose off and clean out the throttle body every 2 weeks and although easy, it's a pain. I'm assuming that I need to replace the PCV system / oil trap. Another "symptom" is that I sometimes notice a bit of white smoke coming out of the dip stick if I'm checking the oil when the engine is warm. My question is, I can't find any good instructions (or parts kit) for a N/A engine, where can I locate instructions and where can I get a parts kit? FCP seems to only have kits for the turbo. Since I'm doing this I might as well replace the vacuum hoses and elbows, does anyone have a parts kit to replace those on a N/A also?
I think I should mention that by the time I get my oil changed again, I will have topped 250,000 miles and can still get 32mpg on the interstate I just LOVE telling people I have a quarter-million miles on my car Why the H*ll did they stop making these cars!?!?!?!? LOL!!
