Default 94' 850 turbo sometimes will start and then stall

I got this car around 09' or so, at first it would barley act up, sometimes stall and then id start it up and it would stay running. Just like if I went to the store ya know. But now after a couple years or so I'll run to the store or gas station and when I come out and go to leave it will run for a couple of secounds then just die like im running out of gas or something. And only when I wait for 5 or 10 min. it will start again. But when it was really hot out this summer i took it about 25miles away to deprt of motor vech. one day i could not get it started for 4 hours, it was so hot and we were just stuck there. every 20min i would try starting it but with no luck. Finally it did start though, and the weird thing about it is once its running fine, it will drive perfectly normal. I replaced the fuel filter already and it has good fuel pressure. I just hate the thought of taking it to a mech when it could be something minnor. Any help would be great, and if anyone has questions or more info on my problem I will be more then happy to answer, thanks

Does the engine turn when u try to start it or is it like an electrical short? Hows your air filter and plugs? and your aic valve, try cleaning or replacing it. When was ur last good tune up? u leaking any fluids? Take it down to autozone or something, they'll pull codes for free.

Ok, i didnt know autozone did that, thanks ill give them a call. Yes it does turn over everytime, but this problem revolves around starting it then it running for a few secounds before cutting out like its starving for gas. Yesterday I found something interesting by the fan. Its like a small can looking unit that has a vac line running from the motor to it. And another kind of line which actully runs to the evaporative canistor. This is an emissions system unit which has probably never been replaced. But anyway, the unit by the fan has a sensor plug right. So I unpluged it the other day when it was messing up and vola it started and stayed running. So all seems to be ok for now but if it does act up again i will take it to autozone, thanks for that advise.

Is this "can" mounted to the fan shroud or does it sit between the fan and intake? What color? Black or silver?

Yea its alittle hard to explain but the actual canister is under the battery bay, then from there a line runs up to this unit that is located right by the fan on the drivers side. from that unit the line then goes to the intake manafold located on the front. This system is supposed to burn off any vapors that the gas tank has. But since its become old after years of use I think that it is now dirty, And it wants to burn dirty vapors and carbon even which cause's the motor to cut out and stall. The term vapor locked is more describable, where as if you take say a 30min trip anywhere vapors will build up and prevent the motor from running. That is way it has to sit for awhile and slowly release those vapors. In my opinion I think emissions controls are a waste of time and cause too many problem to the motor. Why would you want to burn these foums when in fact they dirty the engine up making it run worse. Then you would need to buy Fuel injector cleaner. Emissions controls didnt work in the 80's and now even, cars will aways give off some pollution. unless it takes electric or french frie oil lol.
Anyway, the sensor is disconnected on that unit or motor locted by the fan so now it will not pump vapors from the canister to the motor. And you will find that the canister has a vent built in anyway, so vapors will not build up and risk any danger.
