Hi again...
my scanner is this one here...

I got it for about $100.00 US...the price of one
scanner reading at the volvo dealership....heheheh
with this I was able to do a reading of the codes
and found that there was a MAF sensor code in the comp.
ok ...so now....your starter is turning over
but the car will not start..is it firing at all ??
if not,,,,,and you know the spark plugs are getting spark...
then try this..
remove the large hoses coming out of the air filter box and locate the
MAF " Mass Air Flow "......then WITHOUT TOUCHING DIRECTLY..
spray some CONTACT CLEANER directly on it and then let it dry.......
maybe do that a few times..then....when its totally dry....put it all back together and try it again....
If you get that scanner you cal also read to see if there are any codes that might show up...but..if you find any....DONT ERASE them untill you start your car....
