Hey there everyone, this is my first post. I drive a 1996 850 GLT.

It started happening months ago, just getting started rolling at a stop and *POP* the transmission pops out of 1st, and even with the clutch in it will grind trying to put it back into gear. I've got to completely let off the clutch, then reapply it, and go from 2nd to 1st. It wasn't that annoying until recently, when at pretty much every stoplight, stop-sign, any situation I need first gear, it pops out.

I bought my car hastily because it was a 5spd and I want a standard 850 really badly, but the car needs new bushings everywhere, severely needs a tune-up, and a new pcv system desperately, a crack formed in the radiator not too long ago, and the catalytic converter is completely plugged, so its out of commission as it is.

If the transmission needs internal servicing, I'm going to part it out and be a hell of a lot smarter about what to look for in these cars. I've spent a lot of time reading forums and learning a lot. And won't make the same mistake again, if I can't fix this one, hahahaha.
