'95 850 Driver's seat recline/incline broken
Greetings all,
Just registered, have a question about my wife's seat (no giggling!)...
The thing still has all motions except seat-back recline/incline, and when you attempt to use the switch, there is an obvious vibration and whirr noise—but no movement. Trying to 'help' the thing incline back up isn't working, either.
I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for my local shop to charge me $60/hr in labor to 'research how to fix the problem' (their words), I can do that on my own, thank you very much.
Thoughts?

Many thanks to you both; I'm going to try fixing it after finals are done in a few weeks.
I may be something of a vehicular Luddite: I really miss the days of manual-adjust seats and roll-down windows, etc. My first 740 had a crank sunroof
I also loathe ECUs—I can't remember a single day this dang 850 wasn't throwing some sort of CEL or other. I just ignore it now as long as it's in closed-loop mode
Mo' 'lectrics, Mo' problems.
