Seat back won't recline???
Howdy folks, we have a '95 850 GLT non turbo that the wife drives to and from work. The other day the odometer and the power seat reclining feature both quit. The seat goes forward and back o.k. and up and down, only the recline feature is affected, I can hear the motor whirring when you push the button but no action takes place. I already found excellent info on the repair of the odometer, but searching the threads couldn't find anything on the seat. There is a couple of tears in the leather anyhow so if I have to disassemble the seat to repair it, would be a good time to get the stiching fixed as well. We have the side airbags as well to make things more complicated. Any advice would be appreciated.

RE: Seat back won't recline???
I did the cable replacement that Tech posted about. I bought 2 cables (even though the passenger was working fine) and did them both in about 1.5 total time.
Go to a local independent hardware store (not a Lowes/Home Depot) and get a set of hog-ring pliers and a set of #1 hog-rings. Once you get used to the hog-ring pliers, it's an easy job. It worked perfect. - AB
