I just purchased the above vehicle a little over a week ago. I've had the wipers working since and did note that the driver's side blade was not tight and kept working its way over until it was wiping over the windshield edge.

Today, when it did the same thing and I stopped it and the blade went down but was lamely trying to move.

I got out and kept the wipers on and could move the wiper up on the windshield and it did move a few inches i.e. the motor isn't dead cuz the other one is working fine. The driver's side does move but lamely and inconsistently.

I could not see any way to get down inside to any workings under the hood or otherwise.

I am HOPING this is a simple fix - can anyone help?

Did you tighten the nut that holds the wiper arm where it mounts to the stud?
