Default '95 850 seat back will not recline - Stuck...

OK, since i picked up my daughter's S70 GLT, I really have not let her drive it much. Main reason being she wrecked my 960 and untill it is fixed by the body guy, I am driving her's, kinda as punishment.

Oh, back to the reason for the thread. I picked up a turbo 850 and both the driver and passenger power seat backs not recline or rise. All of the other seat adjustments work good, even the memory, but the seats will not recline, they are stuck in one possition. Unfortionately it is not in the possition I want it in. When I switch the lever I hear the motor turning but no action.

Any help would be appreciated.

After driving her turbo I almost could not resist.

Thanks a million Lee, i'm on it. I'll have to go get one of those mini torches. I'll have to get over the hot/fire thing, my mom really gave me a good one early in life for playing with fire and I haven't gotten over that fear yet.

I just used a long handle lighter like you use to light a gas grill or fireplace, and it worked fine.

Are those hog rings that go through the seat foam and the leather a pain to get back in, or is it fairly easy? I have to do this on my seat and dont know if I feel like dealing with them if it is hard.

Thanks!

Some are a pain and others go in really easy.

I used the wire ties. I was going to do one seat rings and the other ties to see if one lasted longer than the other but I did not want to go get the tools and rings so I did both with wire ties.
