Hi Everyone,
I have a 94 850 wagon and the drivers seat is stuck in a recline position. I know it's the cable but can't afford to fix it. I'm a student and money is tight. Is there a way to trick it to make it go up. I'm the only driver so I wouldn't have to keep adjusting it.

Any help would be great!

 

Sure, at the bottom stick 2 big screws at each side, where the hooks clip into the locking mechanism.

What we ended up doing was pulling back the front of the cushion. Then taking one of the gears off and manually turning it with vice grips. It came up perfectly! I'm so thankful to you guys for your help!! I have a disc disease in my lower back and I couldn't even drive my own car.
