95 Atenna stopped working!!
O.K....I went as far back as March in this forum to see if there was already a post to this, but found none.
My Atenna has stopped working as of Saturday. Worked fine on Friday... Is this something that is easy to fix? A fuse? What would cause it? Makes radio listening interesting for sure!!
Any help would be much appreciated!!

O.K....I went as far back as a few minutes in another forum to find this for you:

This is an instruction for the antenna replacement, but should give you some ideas as to what to expect.
If the problem is intermittent, there may be loose/dirty connections somewhere within the system. I would try cleaning the radio connectors with a can of electrical contact cleaner, and check on the antenna motor & its connection.
Those radios have poor reputation and I'm sure there are some people who can give you better solutions than I could.
I hope this gets you started. Good day!

You did not mention if the antenna motor operates when the radio is turned on and off. If the motor is working; you just need to replace the mast. A search here will give you a great write up on doing that. I just did it on a '97 I just bought.
Hi ECDriver
No, the antenna does not work....Period
The motor does not make a sound. Like I said, it was working the day before, and then on Saturday, I went out and started the car and noticed that I did not hear the antenna sound. Went to check and sure enough, it had not gone up.
I'm hoping there is a fuse or something. There was not any warning that it was going to stop, etc.
So any insight, would be Great

Thanks
Terry
P.S.
Thanks you JPN forsending me the diagram...I did forward this to my email!

I don't think there is a fuse that would power the antenna only. I would get atest light and see if the motor on the antenna is getting power. If it is you need a new antenna assembly. I just did one onone of my cars. I bought it for around $100 on e-bay and it was a piece of cake to instal. If it's not getting power to the motor, I would pull the radio out and see if the connection is good on the radio.Me bet is the problem is at the antenna though.
Thank you so much Jim and JPN. I will look into both next week and will keep you posted!
I drove to IL today. It was like a flash back to the 60's when you had just a few radio stations and even those were not strong!! LOL

A flash back to the 60's? Some things about the 60's I did like and some things I didn't. Radio reception is definitely one that falls into the latter category. Wow it would really suck if you drove a long way with crappy radio reception and you needed was a fuse. I always play CD's when I'm on a road trip. Crank up some Pink Floyd or David Bowie or whatever CD's I have with me and I'm ready to cruise. It's the only time I sing is when I'm driving by myself. That way nobody can here how bad I sound.
