96 850 power steering hose replacement
Have to change the pressure hose, bad leak, so bought both. If someone has done this any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thought the worst was going to be getting the connections loose but could not get the old hoses out in one piece. Had to cut them, I thought because they were clamped together and I could not break the clamp loose so I just cut them.
No way the hoses are going back in in one piece. I figured I would put the sway bar out but the bushings won't move and of course you can't pull it out with them on. Crossed my mind to cut couple.
What do you guys do? Surfing but found nothing yet.
Thanks for any advise.

Please excuse my writing. Meant to say, It crossed my mind to cut and couple the lines. I can use flare fittings but I know no one would do that.
Research leads me to basically doing what I would to change the rack, lower the frame. Too far along to quit now. Rack is not leaking at all, inner tie rods also fine. Just need room to get the connections, can get close but no.
Only real worry is separating the steering gear. Doing everything in the driveway just adds to difficulty - being 50 years old just adds pain.
Again any tips would be appreciated.

After more research I found a good write up for rebuilding the rack. Not sure if I can put a link here so I won't. Anyhow, the sub frame must come down. All bolts came loose w/out breaking anything, so good start. Will actually do the job over the weekend. Only scared of the steering gear coupling. Like every other job, looks impossible to get my hands on it.
I have seen your videos Robert. I am sure you helped a lot of people. Watched quite a few already. I will use your timing belt video soon. When I'm done maybe I'll be able to help you with this job if needed. I guess being in Texas, you don't have the salt we have in NJ, may explain why you don't have a video for this job.
Thanks again.
