In the car behind the dash? In the sunroof tracks? Pull the fan resistor and see if water is in the vent system.

it sounds like its coming from either under the hood or somewhere around there. where is the fan resistor located?

Do you have any warning light on....for example the low coolant light? Could it be burnt out or not working and your super low on radiator fluid enough that your blowing air through your heater core and have now blown your head gasket so water vapor is coming out the tail pipe? Just a thought.

Can you (burberry) elaborate a bit?

Is the splashing sound heard when the engine is running but the vehicle stationery or is the sound heard when the vehicle is moving and accelerating or decelerating?

Check your overflow recovery tank when you first start it up and see if there are bubbles coming out of it or if it's pushing coolant out too.

the car has been sitting so the sound is only when stationary. the coolant light works and the coolant is not low. I will check tomorrow in the light if the coolant bubbles.

I checked the coolant tank when started and there was no bubbling or anything I watched it for a few minutes and no bubbles. it was a little low so I filled it to just under the max line

You may have water in your turbocharger. I have had this symptom, remove your top intercooler hose and see if there is water in it.

Mine was caused by my own stupidity, I degreased the engine without the hose on, but if water has gotten in via your air filter assembly it may be the issue. Also water may be leaking out of the coolant line in the turbocharger if the coolant is a little low. It only takes a small amount to make the sloshy sound.
