Default 96 GLT instrument cluster not woking in cold weather?

It's cold here in Florida and I noticed this morning that my engine gauges don't work until the car warms up. The clock is not effected. Anyone have this happen? Is there a fix?

It sounds like there's a connectivity issue (ie cracked solder joint etc) that is opening up when the parts are cold. The easy fix is to drop in a replacement (used) cluster. Check ebay - I'd expect to pay $50-75 for the cluster and it takes about 30 minutes to open the dash and swap it out. There should be how to's on Youtube (same procedure is used to pull the cluster to repair a broken odometer gear). Just remember the turbo and NA have different clusters (ie with/without boost gauge). Also, this would be a good time to replace all the backlighting bulbs.
