Default 96 instrument cluster bulbs

Ok, So ive replaced the cluster bulbs on my 850 about 4 times in the last 15 years but ive never been able to find the bulbs for the trip computer in any place other than volvo.
Ive seen a couple videos on some sites with people with blue leds in their trip comp.
Code:
( here is one...www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYcV7KWBJ8E&feature=related )
Since all my other bulbs are red id like to do these in red but I can find them any where.. tell you the truth I dont even know the bulb number so I dont know where to look anymore... I have almost all of my other bulbs replaced so these are driving me crazy
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Here is what it looks like:

the instrument lights are either 168 or 194, with 194 being slightly higher wattage and slightly brighter. They plug right into the removable sockets in the back of the panel. They're the 4 bigger ones across the middle (from top to bottom) in the cluster.

I already replace the 194's for the cluster, Im looking for the trip computer bulbs. The section that is still white in the pictures..

But thank you, on the 168/194 info I had no idea that the 194's were brighter

I bought them at Snitzel Auto Parts in Clinton, CT. IIRC 99 cents each. Run a search in this forum with that name to get full info. Bimmers and Mercedes use the same bulb.

Believe it or not, some people have been buying those bulbs at Honda dealers..... Take one to a Honda dealer and see if they have matching bulbs.

I was talking to the Volvo repair shop that recently fixed an issue thats beyond me, they are not a dealer just exclusivly repair Volvos, he said yeah its the same as the Honda/Acura bulbs -BUT .... go to radio shack and they can get the same thing, bring in your old one and they can match them up, and they are dirt cheap at radio shack.

Great if you can figure out a way to make the plastic base work.

You have to remove the cluster to replace the bulbs... 4 bulbs for the main gauges to be exact. I used Red LED 194 bulbs

im trying to find the trip computer bulbs now.. Im just not sure which ones they are..
