97 850 glt Rear Brake Sensors Removal
I am having an ABS/TRAC light issue.
I removed the front sensors... very nasty and greasy. I cleaned them,... all shiny now and put them back in,...
Took the car around.... lights still on.
I decided to remove and clean the rear sensors... removed the 10mm bolt... expecting to wiggle it right on out... NO SUCH LUCK.
Tried pliers to get a better grip,... NOPE.
Decided to grind a flat screwdriver down to a sharp edge and tap it between the sensor and the backplate.
Well, it gave about 1/16th of an inch before the sensor cracked.
GREAT!!!
Still not out, I dont want to chance breaking it completely in two.
SO,... anyone have a clue on how to get these damn things out???
Are they heat welded to the hub,... or am I missing something?
Thanks.

Well, from all I've been able to find... you just take out the 10mm bolt and slip the sensor out of the hole,...
Humm, It's not working for me. It's like that sucker is glued in with some Strong glue.... It guess brake dust has heat welded it in.
Also after a lot of searching, it seems that the ABS modules solder joints are 99% of the ABS/TRAC light issues. SO... (fingers crossed I haven't already screwed up the one rear sensor but trying to get it out)...
I am going to attack the The ABS Module tomorrow with my sodering iron... Hopefully this will Fix those pesky lights.
Wish me Luck!!
