ANYWAYS. Where are you looking for a car? Have you tried CL? I don't know about there, but here there are always 850s for sale all the time.

Just an FYI: 97 GLTs (and all year S70 GLTs) had automatics. The only way to get an S70 with a turbo and a manual is to get a T-5.

And I feel like a moron... I had access to a complete- but- wrecked 98 S70 T-5 manual, and didn't get the yummy parts from it. I could still get the engine, turbo, and the trans, but the linkages are all gone, the ECU is gone... ah, well. Maybe It'll happen again.

 

He's also in Canada, it might be different there. They got all the manuals that we didn't in the US.

i just bought a 1997 volvo 850 glt AWD turbo manual wagon.. EXACTLY what i was looking for and its even black..
fully equipped tan leather heated seats,sunroof, premium sound, tracs...
im so happy ill be picking it up hopefully tuesday...


so i guess they DO make turbo manuals..

and yes, you will see me poking around here alot more and probably asking all kinds of stupid questions...

 

They did make them, just none of them were imported into the US.

one more thing.

if i want to buy an ecu, do i have to buy an ecu with all the exact specs of my car?

can i buy an 97 glt ecu even if the ecu is off of the same engine with different transmission..
